May 2, 2023—Do you want to expand your treatment offerings, earn more revenue, and wow your patients with industry-leading aesthetic laser and light devices?

You’ve come to the right place.

Sciton’s award-winning treatment brands could be the key to unlocking your business’s full potential and helping you build and maintain a profitable aesthetic practice.

Read on for our best tips to help your practice flourish in today’s growing aesthetics market.

Tip 1: Avoid “fads”: Invest in comprehensive skincare systems

With the influx of “fad” treatments flooding the market, patients and providers are more confused and skeptical than ever. Practitioners are concerned about investing in devices that don’t work as promised, break down frequently, or offer mediocre results.

Don’t want your investment to go to waste?

Avoid over-hyped treatments and invest in a Sciton platform.

For more than 25 years, Sciton has maintained a reputation for manufacturing ‘made in the USA quality’ comprehensive skincare systems that successfully address the appearance of aging skin.

Today, Sciton remains the largest private laser and light-powered device manufacturer in the world.

But don’t just take our word for it.

According to providers on RealSelf.com, a popular review site for cosmetic procedures, a Sciton laser was voted the #1 best investment in 2023. 1

Tip 2: Invest in a platform with a range of solutions

Imagine having a single platform with multiple award-winning treatment brands that address a wide range of skin conditions in all skin types.

It’s possible with Sciton’s extensive product range on its three platforms—JOULE®, mJOULE™, and BARE HR™.

Sciton platforms cover a variety of applications, including:

  • Fractional and full-field skin resurfacing
  • Skin revitalization
  • Phototherapy
  • Vascular treatments
  • Scar reduction
  • Acne treatment
  • Permanent hair reduction

Speak to an expert today about finding the right platform for your practice.

Tip 3: Leverage the power of the Sciton brand

Sciton was founded by laser physicists Dr. Jim Hobart and Dr. Dan Negus with a mission: to build exceptional lasers and light sources to improve people’s lives.

The mission has continued for almost three decades with Sciton’s esteemed collection of power brands recognized for their impressive power, reliability, and results. Patients and providers around the world searching for the best skin resurfacing treatments choose Sciton.

Leverage the power of some of Sciton’s most in-demand consumer brands:

Tip 4: Let patient demand dictate your treatment offerings

In 2021-2022, 76% of plastic surgeons reported unprecedented demand for minimally invasive cosmetic procedures compared to pre-pandemic levels—with skincare treatments topping the list.2

What skincare treatments are your patients actively searching for?

Statistics show the wrinkles market segment held the largest market share in 2019, with laser skin resurfacing dominating the market that same year. According to NYP Holdings, Inc., 42% of females between 25-34 and 54% of females between 35-44 worry about aging.3

The high demand for corrective cosmetic treatments, particularly among the prejuvenation demographic, is projected to contribute towards massive growth in the skin resurfacing market.3

If you’re considering upgrading your practice with a high-quality skin resurfacing system, invest in a Sciton platform that meets the needs of your patient demographic.

Tip 5: Take advantage of your menu of services

As the expert, you have the power to guide your patients to the best outcome.

According to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s (ASDS) 2021 Consumer Survey, dermatologists were the number one influencer in a consumer’s decision to have a cosmetic procedure.

What’s the best way to convince your patients to begin a skincare regimen with your treatment brands?

Show your patients how much you believe in your technology by having trained staff members treat you.

Pro tip—Build credibility by posting videos of you and your staff receiving treatments and sharing your before and after images (B&As) on your social channels.

April 5, 2023—Are you looking to grow your practice with in-demand laser treatments from a respected and trusted laser company? If so, now is a perfect time. Keep reading for the top 5 reasons to elevate your business with Sciton’s HALO® laser.
Rapid growth and demand for energy-based aesthetic devices

The demand for aesthetic treatments is stronger than ever and climbing steadily. In 2022, the global medical aesthetics market grew 13% and is projected to reach $15.63 billion by 2026. 1

The HALO laser, popular among patients and providers, has established strong consumer brand recognition over the past decade. This multi-award-winning hybrid fractional laser for glowing skin has recently been named the 2023 New Beauty award winner for Best Multitasking Laser.

Skin revitalization for patients of all skin types

HALO simultaneously targets multiple skin concerns on all skin types, including the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Skin dullness
  • Pigmented lesions

It’s the first hybrid laser to deliver a non-ablative 1470 nm and ablative 2940 nm wavelength to the same microscopic treatment zone for an unmatched improvement in the appearance of aging skin.

Clinicians who perform HALO see consistent, predictable results in just one to two treatments vs. three to five traditional non-ablative resurfacing treatments.

According to RealSelf.com, a leading review site for cosmetic procedures, HALO has hundreds of positive reviews and before and after images. Patients have even coined the phrase “HALO glow” to describe their flawless complexion after treatment.

Dermatologist and HALO owner Arisa Ortiz says, “My patients love the HALO procedure. They always tell me their friends comment on how nice their skin looks after HALO. They look a lot brighter because the light reflects better off their skin.”

Maximum ROI and high-net revenue

High patient satisfaction isn’t the only reason practices invest in HALO. This multi-tasking laser is also Sciton’s highest net revenue fractional procedure ensuring maximum return on investment.

According to data from Sciton iQ™, a proprietary, real-time treatment analytics system, Sciton customers across the U.S. earn, on average, 4x their monthly lease payment in revenue. 2

Data also shows HALO has more than 2x higher consult requests than others in the facial laser category, and HALO owners earn 59% higher revenue per treatment than top facial laser competitors.3

It gets better.

Exponential results and earnings with ScitonStaX™

When combined with other award-winning Sciton treatments on the JOULE® multi-application system, such as BBL® HERO™—Sciton’s award-winning BroadBand Light® (BBL®) device for sun damage and hyperpigmentation—HALO owners further increase their revenue while dramatically improving patient outcomes. ScitonStaX combines up to three synergistic modalities on a Sciton platform to deliver stunning outcomes in a single session.

The JOULE, Sciton’s flagship platform, provides an extensive selection of aesthetic, medical, and surgical treatment options within a single, comprehensive system. The platform features more than ten laser and light-based modalities to address:

  • Aging skin
  • Photodamage
  • Scars
  • Vascular issues
  • Unwanted hair
Profitable and reliable systems

Designed, manufactured, and assembled by hand at Sciton’s company headquarters in Palo Alto, California, Sciton systems are built to last.

In fact, 96% of all Sciton systems sold in the past 10 years are still in service today. It’s yet another testament to the company’s commitment to quality and exceptional craftsmanship.

PALO ALTO, Calif. — February 9. 2009 — Sciton, Inc. announces the launch of the JOULE Aesthetic Laser Platform. By combining multiple, distinctive laser technologies into a single, slender system, JOULE offers aesthetic practitioners a vastly expanded range of procedures, opens a simple path to future technologies and procedures as they become available, and provides revenue stimulus for the current economic environment that will easily translate to solid long term practice-building and growth.

OptiPlexing Wavelengths and Delivery Modes for Expanded Procedure Options: With JOULE, Sciton offers the optimal combination of multiple laser wavelengths delivered through any of JOULE’s three delivery modes—arm, fiber, or broadband light (BBL)—enabling aesthetic physicians to offer the widest variety of procedures available. A single platform can provide today’s most requested procedures, laser-assisted lipolysis and deep and fractional skin resurfacing, as well as hair removal and a wide range of vascular treatments. Sciton’s scientists call this technology OptiPlex™: the optimal multiplexing of optical technologies.

“The optiplexed JOULE has the potential to change the entire landscape of an aesthetic practice,” says Dr. Jason Pozner, plastic surgeon and medical director of Sanctuary Plastic Surgery and co-owner of Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center in Florida. “Combining laser lipolysis and both fractional and full skin resurfacing in a single platform makes it possible for me to offer the most popular treatments more conveniently. The benefit to a growing aesthetic practice is significant. They can expand their practice with a single laser. It is an ideal system for aesthetic surgeons with an on-site operating facility as well as those with an office treatment room. It would take multiple lasers to do what JOULE does. It’s a game-changer.”

Procedure-Specific and Practice-Expanding Treatment Modules: JOULE offers unprecedented versatility with its comprehensive selection of modules and the ability to add future Sciton modules for cosmetic procedures. In addition to any combination of three delivery modes, the base laser system has four laser bays as well as a pulsed light bay. A practice can begin with one module, and grow into many as the practice grows, or, it can be fully built out from the very beginning to enable the widest range of treatment capabilities for expansive revenue opportunity for the aesthetic practice. The platform is “future-proof” as modules yet to be invented will be designed to be fully functional on the JOULE Aesthetic Laser Platform.

“The optiplexed JOULE platform offers great economics in two important ways,” states Lars Isaacson, Vice President of Sales at Sciton. “You can pick the most profitable procedures for your practice today, adding modules for new capabilities in the future at a far lower cost. And here’s an even more immediate economic boost: contrary to industry trends, there are no hidden disposable costs, which can be $400 per tip, or charges for handpieces that automatically disable themselves after a limited number of pulses.”

Highest Value, Lowest-Per-Procedure Cost: In addition to cost-optimization through more capability in a single aesthetic platform, Sciton physicians achieve the lowest-per-procedure cost because Sciton does not charge for disposables, nor does it place an unnecessary “marketing” limitation on the use of disposables. Sciton enables physicians to use open source fibers on its lasers, providing a competitive cost advantage to its customers. All Sciton systems offer unlimited pulses within a 3-year warranty or during service contracts, a standard unmatched in the industry.

“With this challenging economy, physicians benefit from a combined fractional resurfacing and laser lipolyisis platform that affords both cost efficiency and the cutting edge technology that our patients seek,” commented Dr. Michael Kaminer, a dermatologic surgeon, and partner at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA. “Combining these two procedures in a single system is a terrific advantage, and having no disposable expense is an added bonus. Sciton has used its unmatched laser science expertise to offer superior clinical outcomes and address the economic challenges that physicians face.”
