Sciton’s 2020 virtual User Summit saw record-breaking attendance and donated over $40k to The Few Initiative.

Attended by over 750 medical professionals, the on-demand event featured a total of 17 industry leaders who shared the digital stage and provided educational insights on everything from approach, to marketing, to discussion on the future of the field. New Member of Sciton Executive Leadership Announced

PALO ALTO, CA – December 10, 2019 — Sciton®, a leading manufacturer of high-quality laser and light systems in the medical market held their annual User Summit November 16-17th in Dallas, TX for a sold-out crowd of 500 attendees with the most diverse global faculty to date. Among the guest speakers were  Dr. Jill Waibel, Dr. Jason Pozner, Dr. Patrick Bitter, Jr., Dr. Jason Emer, and Dr. Jay Burns.

According to Aaron Burton, Chief Operating Officer, “We thrive on the loyalty and passion that our customer base has for our award-winning brands and technologies. As an organization, we take great pride in building the most desired and durable laser systems available in the industry today. With 95% of the systems we have ever made still in active clinical application, we are very unique in our commitment to only offer the aesthetic marketplace devices that will truly last the lifetime of a practice. We continue to show our commitment to our customers, employees, and the patients who are positively impacted by the results-oriented treatments we offer worldwide with direct operations in the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and distributor partners in more than 45 countries. Since 1997, our privately held and employee-owned company continues to share with its Sciton family by providing quarter over quarter profit-sharing checks.”

The laser, energy, and light-based aesthetic industry has seen notable volatility in recent years with a heightened level of mergers and acquisitions activity that has been largely deleterious to the customers and employees of once-prominent organizations. This drive towards consolidation and private equity has a negative impact on the end-user and physician community that own and operate these devices.

“At Sciton we are very different than our publicly traded counterparts and private equity-driven competitors. This starts and ends with our devotion to our people. We view our customers as family and we treat them as such. Our pride for our people extends beyond our customer base to our employees across every layer of our organization. We value our Sciton Family and are proud to have the highest tenured and most highly regarded professionals in the space today. We know that when we put our customers first we ultimately win. The customer experience is paramount at Sciton and every day we go above and beyond to surround our owners with the highest quality educational and value-driven resources available in the aesthetic marketplace. This is evident in our approach to hiring, training and retaining the best talent in the industry” says Robb Brindley, VP North American Sales and Board Member. “After nearly two decades of personal service at Sciton, I can tell you firsthand that we attract and retain like-minded business professionals that thrive in our culture of gratitude and giving selflessly to help others succeed. We know that when you combine great people with award-winning brands built on sensational technology, you are truly unstoppable.” Brindley goes on to state, “Our commitment to making the best begins in Silicon Valley where all of our products are still developed and manufactured in the U.S. to this day. From the moment we opened our doors until now we have not relented on our passion to do everything necessary to create resilient solutions that delight our customers and stand the test of time. We pride ourselves in achieving the highest customer satisfaction in the industry and we are very proud of our brands and the opportunity they afford our practitioners to flourish.”

In fact, their technologies also continue to deliver high patient satisfaction as reported on RealSelf.com and RealPatientRatings.com. Sciton also ranks among the highest companies in employee satisfaction, 4.8 stars out of 5 on GlassDoor.

At the 2019 User Summit Sciton further demonstrated their premium on advancing their people with the public announcement of the newest addition to their executive leadership team with Lacee J. Naik being promoted to the position of Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. Lacee has been with Sciton for more than 6 years and has been in the medical industry for 13 years, and specifically the aesthetics industry for 10 years. Lacee has spent time in all areas of marketing from launching successful products as a product manager, to event and tradeshow management, to PR and Social Media management. Lacee takes great honor in developing not only the marketing team, but partnering with Sales and every department within the organization. She is also an active advisor to the Sciton Board or Directors.

“I am so proud to be part of such a diverse and close-knit team. I truly enjoy coming to work every day and cannot wait to see what the future holds for Sciton,” stated Lacee J. Naik. “As an employee-owned and customer-focused company, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to developing high-quality devices for our physician and medspa partners worldwide,” she added.

Sciton is committed to partnering for success. With a very successful 2019, Sciton is looking forward to continued success in 2020.

PALO ALTO, Calif., April 5, 2018 — Sciton. Inc. is excited to continue its successful Bright Lights Big City BBL Tour in 2018 with Dr. Patrick Bitter Jr. for the 3rd year in a row. The 2018 Tour will start in early June in Fort Lauderdale, followed by Chicago, New York City, and Austin, before making a last stop in Washington D.C. in November.

BBL (BroadBand Light) is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market. It sets new standards in treating skin conditions associated with aging, active lifestyles, and sun damage. This versatility as well as the consistency of the results make it a much sought-after device and customers are attracted to educational events, such as Bright Lights Big City, to keep their skills updated. No other IPL can match its combination of power, versatility and reliability.

Bright Lights Big City’s speaker, dermatologist Dr. Bitter Jr., is renowned for creating the FotoFacial® treatment, a key procedure using intense pulsed light (IPL) to rid the skin of vascular lesions, pigmentation problems, acne, and other conditions. “One of my greatest passions is creating clearer, smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin for my patients with the Fotofacial® treatments using BBL. And one of my greatest rewards is sharing how to best use BBL with my colleagues. Teaching my colleagues how to master BBL to get the same patient-pleasing results as I get, brings me great satisfaction,” shares Dr. Bitter.

His training is very well attended with 40+ attendees per event and feedback has been very positive. Quoting an excited Michelle Palcic of Dr. Bates Wellness who attended last year’s Dallas preceptorship: “It’s phenomenal! I highly recommend it. So much information and you’ll be excited to go out there and do these great treatments! Take advantage of it!”

In addition to continuing the Bright Lights Bid City BBL Tour in the U.S., Sciton will offer the course in Asia as well as Australia. “I am excited to bring this best-in-class training to our customers across the globe,” says David Percival, General Manager for Sciton International. “This traveling tour allows us to bring advanced BBL education to more of our customers and strengthens our commitment to best in class education and post-sale support.”

“Bright Lights Big City allows us to bring advanced BBL insights to many more of our customers across the country and the globe. We’re delighted to have Dr. Bitter share the latest innovations in our ever-expanding BroadBand Light technology,” said Rick Mendez, VP of Global Marketing.

PALO ALTO, Calif. – June 17, 2015 — Sciton, Inc. announced today that Dr. Rebecca Gelber, MD will be presenting on the company’s new laser technology for hybrid fractional resurfacing combined with phototherapy at their 2015 EMEA Summit. This event takes place Saturday, June 27th at the Ritz Carlton in Istanbul, Turkey.

Last year, Sciton launched the world’s first hybrid fractional laser (Halo™) which combines a non-ablative fractional laser for deep dermal rejuvenation and an ablative fractional laser for epidermal renewal. These two laser technologies combine synergistically to create a greater effect without the downtime of more aggressive treatments. Dr. Gelber quickly realized the benefit of combining this with BroadBand Light™ to further enhance and promote skin rejuvenation. She states, “By combining modalities, you’re bringing in one treatment which is best-in-class for discoloration and anti-aging and a second treatment which is best for fine lines, texture, and pores. When you put them together, you’re listening to all your patients’ concerns and giving them the global improvement which they really want.”

Dr. Patrick Bitter, MD, FAAD, the developer of the FotoFacial™ procedure, has also been speaking on the benefits of combining these two treatments. He states, “The combination treatment with BBL and Halo at the same time has been a home run procedure to quickly and easily achieve dramatic improvement in photo-aging, actinic damage and discoloration anywhere on the body, in a single session, with limited downtime. This is my treatment of choice for patients for photo damage and early actinic keratosis.”

PALO ALTO, Calif.– June 9, 2015 –Sciton, Inc. will exhibit its revolutionary laser technology at the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetic Dermatology Conference, June 10 – 14, at The Bellagio, Las Vegas (Booth #302). Jason Pozner, MD, FACS, a faculty member, will highlight a variety of Sciton’s lasers during three presentations including: Is There Really Any Science Behind Skin Tightening?; Approach to the Face Based on Age and Problems; and My Personal Approach to Combining Lasers and Facelifting.

Sciton’s Halo™ laser combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect without the downtime of more aggressive treatments. Halo, the next step in facial rejuvenation, combines wavelengths to create a non-ablative laser experience with results mimicking an ablative laser.

According to Dr. Pozner, “With Halo, I can achieve results which I would have only expected from an ablative fractional laser, but get downtimes that I would normally see with a non-ablative fractional laser. It really is the best of both worlds.”
